Steel and component definition
Select the steel grade needed for the industrial component. Use the drawing or sample to establish its geometry and intended working duty, then agree the dimensions and surface condition required for that part.
Standard families and exact designation
Standard-family directions are AISI, ATSM, UNI, BS, DIN, JIS and GB. Identify the intended ATSM designation and choose the actual standard, edition and grade for the component. Agree the part-level tolerance and acceptance requirements attached to that choice.
ODM responsibility and order scope
