ToleranceCustomer's Drawing Request
Heavy duty OEM and ODM casting enquiries serve auto machinery parts through sand casting. Ductile iron is the main material direction, with gray iron available as another request. Customized sizes and drawing-based tolerances allow the actual component to be defined by its chosen material and accepted geometry.
Select the iron grade and governing document
Grade and standard references include 65-45-12, 60-40-18, ASTM A536 and GGG50. Choose the actual grade and applicable document for the required part. A gray iron request needs its own material definition. Agree the intended working conditions with the component drawing so that the heavy duty requirement has a specific technical basis.
Custom dimensions and tolerance acceptance
Dimensions are customized, and tolerance follows the customer's drawing request. Identify the dimensions, interfaces and surface requirements that govern the component's use in the auto machinery application. The drawing revision and accepted criteria should describe the actual part. Select those requirements with the material rather than treating the listed grade references as an automatic equivalence or a fixed load rating.
Inspection under the quality system
Quality control states 100% inspection under an ISO9001 system, with ISO9001 as the certification reference. Define the features to inspect and the acceptance criteria for the requested casting. Confirm the applicable quality documents together with the actual grade, governing standard, drawing and service requirements. This establishes the material and finished-part basis for the OEM or ODM sand-casting enquiry.
