Develop a custom iron casting request around the grade, geometry and work required after casting. GG25/GJL grey iron and GJS ductile iron are material directions for the sand-casting service, with customized sizes and a CT4–CT6 tolerance reference.
Match the material direction to the component
Define the required complete grade and the component's intended duty when discussing grey or ductile iron. Broader casting enquiries also cover steel, stainless steel, aluminum and copper. Agree the material and actual casting route for the selected part before fixing its dimensional acceptance.
Plan the machining and drawing handoff
Process choices include casting, CNC, turning, milling and 5-axis work. Identify the features that need those operations and establish how CT4–CT6 relates to the casting requirement. Keep the machining scope and finished-part acceptance tied to the same controlling component definition.
- 2D drawing formats
- PDF, DXF and DWG are drawing options for the enquiry.
- 3D drawing formats
- STEP, IGS and PRT are available formats for describing the component geometry.
Agree the finish and application acceptance
Painting, oxidation, polishing, electrophoresis and electroplating are surface-treatment directions to discuss for the chosen material. Specify the treatment and the surfaces it needs to address. Application enquiries span industrial, automotive, agricultural, aviation, construction and electrical components, with each part's duty and qualification requirements established for the project. Where ISO9001 is required, agree the applicable certificate scope alongside the casting and machining acceptance.
