Define a custom metal component through its grade, geometry and finished condition. Aluminum sand casting and die-casting directions are offered alongside steel, stainless, iron and grey-iron material enquiries, with the actual route selected for the part.
Match the material to the casting request
Identify the selected aluminum or aluminum-alloy grade, or the steel/stainless and iron/grey-iron material required for the component. Agree the casting route for that choice and its geometry. Industrial, automotive, machinery, construction and hardware enquiries should identify the actual part and the duty it needs to address.
Define any work required after casting
Machining can be included when needed, together with a surface treatment selected for the component. Mark the areas requiring additional work and the finished dimensions they should meet. Specify the requested surface condition alongside the material and cast shape so the manufacturing enquiry has a consistent finished-part definition.
Give the OEM/ODM scope a controlling drawing
Size and component requirements follow the customer's drawing. STP, IGS, DXF and PDF are file options for the enquiry. Identify the controlling geometry and acceptance criteria, and agree the material, casting and optional-work responsibilities for the actual OEM/ODM request.
Establish the relevant quality agreement
Define the dimensional and surface acceptance needed for the selected part and its intended use. Identify any records required to demonstrate those criteria. Where ISO9001:2008 is relevant to the order, establish the applicable certificate scope together with the component's manufacturing and acceptance requirements.
