Custom stainless steel precision components use investment and lost wax casting with CNC machining for OEM manufacture. Grade directions include 304, 316, 316L, 410 and 412. Sizes follow a 2D drawing or 3D CAD model, with the actual material and finished geometry selected for the required part.

Stainless grade and working dimensions

Define the actual stainless steel specification and the drawing revision for the component. Tolerance is according to the drawing, so identify the cast dimensions and the working details requiring CNC machining. Machinery, valves, pumps and automotive parts are named application directions. Agree the service conditions and accepted dimensions relevant to the selected component.

Drawing formats and surface selection

PDF, STEP, STP, DWG and DXF are available drawing-format directions. Confirm how the dimensional drawing and model define the required part and the selected operations. Polishing and passivation are surface directions, with the treatment, covered areas and accepted result to agree for the actual grade. Specify the finished condition together with the drawing requirements.

Measurement and quality acceptance

Inspection directions include CMM, caliper and micrometer. Agree the features to measure and their acceptance criteria for the requested casting and CNC work. ISO9001 is the quality-standard reference, with the applicable documents to confirm for the component scope. The selected grade, drawing, surfaces and measurement requirements should together define the accepted OEM manufacturing result.
