Custom OEM black iron pipe fittings and precision flange components can be discussed through lost wax casting with CNC machining. The part drawing defines the required dimensions, surface condition, color and any customer logo, with mass-production scope agreed for the supplied component.
Define the iron specification and mating geometry
Identify the exact material grade and the pipe connection and flange interfaces required by the assembly. Include the dimensions and finish requirements that determine how the fitting mates with surrounding parts. The black iron requirement should be defined in that material and surface specification before the casting proposal is approved.
Plan CNC work around the fitting interfaces
Milling, turning, drilling, broaching and lathe work can be discussed for the relevant casting features. Wire EDM, laser machining, etching or chemical machining and rapid prototyping are also within the broader machining scope. Select the operations needed by the component drawing, with dimensional acceptance agreed within the non-micro machining service.
Choose finished surfaces and marking details
Specify the surfaces requiring a particular condition, together with the requested color and any logo placement. Identify the mating areas that need dimensional or surface checks after finishing. Agree those requirements against the part drawing so appearance and connection geometry can be reviewed as part of the same finished component.
Approve production against the intended service
State the connection standard, fluid and pressure or temperature conditions relevant to the pipe application. Agree the required functional acceptance and inspection evidence for that service before setting the production scope. The approved drawing, material specification and surface criteria should then define the sample and mass-production acceptance for the custom fitting or flange component.
