Custom carbon steel precision investment castings combine a lost wax route with CNC machining and surface treatment. Mirror polishing is a named finish for the enquiry, while surface requirements and color can be customized. OEM/ODM service also supports stainless steel and alloy steel material choices for the selected component.
Select the steel before defining the CNC work
Choose carbon steel for the primary enquiry, or specify the required stainless steel or alloy steel alternative. The machining provision uses CNC machining centers as part of the casting-to-finished-part route. Identify the grade and the dimensions requiring machining so that the component review connects the material choice with the required finished geometry.
Specify the mirror-polished and customized surfaces
Define where a mirror-polished condition is required and agree the appearance criteria for those surfaces. Customer-defined surface requirements and customized color are available for discussion alongside that finish. Keep the machined interfaces identifiable on the drawing when selecting the surface treatment, allowing the appearance and dimensional requirements to be assessed for the same part.
Use CT6–CT7 and full inspection in the acceptance plan
CT6–CT7 is the casting-tolerance reference, and GB is the standard family for the material enquiry. The custom steel castings undergo 100% inspection under an ISO9001 quality-control system. Agree the inspection method and acceptance criteria for the controlled dimensions and specified finish. Review the exact standard and scope of ISO9000-family certificate qualification as required, so the order has clear dimensional, surface and documentation requirements.
