Custom brass and copper-alloy components can be discussed through sand casting or investment casting, with OEM/ODM service and machining when required. Surface treatment follows the customer's requirements. Select the actual alloy and component geometry before agreeing the casting route, finished condition and dimensional acceptance.

Choose the brass or copper-alloy component route

Brass is the primary material for the precision casting enquiry, with copper-alloy components also supported. Review sand casting and investment casting against the selected grade and shape. Identify which surfaces or dimensions require subsequent machining, keeping that operation optional according to the needs of the component.

Define the tolerance reference and requested surface condition

The tolerance reference is 0.01–0.05 mm. Agree the sign convention, controlled dimensions and stage of acceptance for the actual part. Surface treatment is customer-defined, so specify the required finished condition alongside the machining and dimensional requirements. This provides a clearer basis for reviewing the component than leaving the surface and tolerance scope unspecified.

Use material reports in the qualification review

Material reports are provided for traceability of the casting material. Identify the required grade information and its relationship to the selected component when requesting those reports. CE, RoHS and ISO9001:2015 qualification can be reviewed for the relevant current object and scope. Keep that review tied to the alloy, process and finished condition required by the order, with the material and acceptance documents defined for the particular brass or copper-alloy part.
