    Customer's Drawing Request

Custom grey-iron sand castings are intended for auto-machinery component inquiries, with ASTM A48 Class 35 as a material direction. OEM/ODM sizing follows the component requirement, and quality control includes 100% inspection with tolerance acceptance based on the customer drawing.

Build the auto-machinery casting brief

Identify the component and the geometry it must have within the machinery assembly. Name ASTM A48 Class 35 when that is the required grey-iron designation. Ductile-iron inquiries should use their own selected grade, keeping the material specification clear before the custom casting scope is accepted.

Define what the custom size must achieve

Use the drawing to locate the dimensions that control assembly fit and the areas needing particular tolerance acceptance. State the required final geometry rather than relying on an overall size alone. The dimensional requirement should remain connected to the selected iron type and the actual component being ordered.

Keep material and inspection requirements visible

Agree the criteria used for the 100% inspection of the selected casting. Those criteria should identify the dimensions and material acceptance that matter to the component. Where ISO9001 documentation is required, establish the applicable holder and scope alongside the part specification rather than treating the system label as its dimensional requirement.

  1. Identify the actual auto-machinery component.
  2. Select the grey-iron or ductile-iron designation.
  3. Provide the custom geometry and finished dimensions.
  4. Allocate drawing tolerances and inspection acceptance.
  5. State the quantity for the OEM/ODM sand-casting order.

A complete brief connects material, dimensions and inspection in one requirement. This provides a consistent basis for discussing the sand-cast part that the machinery assembly needs.
