Custom aluminum die casting supports motor mold and automotive part projects with OEM dimensions, machining when needed and surface treatment. Sample, ODM and OEM service options provide several ways to begin, depending on whether you have a completed component drawing or a design brief to develop.

Separate motor tooling from cast part deliverables

A motor mold enquiry and an enquiry for finished auto parts require different deliverables. Describe whether you need tooling, cast aluminum components or a combined project, and identify the drawing or design revision for each. Making that distinction early helps define which dimensions belong to the mold and which belong to the finished part.

Decide where machining belongs in the part

Machining is an option within the casting process, so include it where the component requires a controlled mating surface or dimensional interface. Identify those areas on the drawing together with their acceptance limits. The remaining casting geometry can then be considered alongside the machined areas, keeping the requested scope specific to the aluminum part.

Choose the aluminum and finished surface

Specify the aluminum grade needed for the motor or automotive application and describe the operating environment relevant to material selection. Surface treatment can be discussed for the required finish, with the treatment and acceptance condition agreed for the project. A color request, a surface condition and a material requirement each need a clear definition during sample review.

Set a practical sample approval basis

Sample service allows the agreed geometry and surface condition to be reviewed before production approval. OEM enquiries can use an established drawing, while ODM enquiries should identify the intended function and design responsibilities. Where ASTM, DIN, JIS, ISO or GB requirements apply, name the exact standard and revision so the sample acceptance criteria address the intended component.
