Custom aluminum casting and CNC enquiries cover die, sand and investment casting routes, with die-casting mold requirements defined for the project. Aluminum options include ADC12 and A380, alongside zinc alloy Zamak 3 or 5 enquiries. The component specification should select the grade, forming route and finished condition together before the manufacturing scope is agreed.
Select the grade and component route
Stainless steel, carbon steel and brass are additional material enquiries to review against the part requirements. CNC machining, injection molding and stamping are other process choices to select with a suitable material and geometry. Identify the intended component and any tooling requirement so the forming and subsequent work relate to the actual project.
Confirm the size and wall references
The maximum size reference is 1550×1550×1100 mm, with a minimum wall reference of 1.5 mm. Confirm the applicability of those limits for the selected grade, casting route and component geometry. The drawing should show the required dimensions and wall conditions so the size enquiry can be assessed for the part being requested.
Choose surfaces and drawing acceptance
Surface choices include powder coating, shot blasting, painting, polishing, sand blasting and plating. Identify the relevant faces and the condition required after treatment, with dimensional tolerances following the customer's drawing. STP and STEP inputs are accepted for review. Bringing grade, geometry, tooling scope, required operations and finish instructions together gives the custom casting and CNC enquiry a coordinated component specification.
