Custom aluminum-alloy casting enquiries include gravity and die-casting directions, with permanent casting, machining if needed and surface treatment. Zinc alloy and magnesium alloy are further material directions. Agree the actual grade and casting route for the requested component.
Aluminum part and casting selection
Identify the component drawing and the working conditions relevant to its use. Select the actual metal and manufacturing process together with the required geometry. Define the cast dimensions and the finished surfaces used to accept the part. Any selected machining needs its own scope on the drawing.
Client specification and drawing inputs
Standard references are ASTM, ANSI, JIS, DIN, EN and GB, or the client's specification. Identify the governing document and material grade for the enquiry. Drawing-format references include 3D, CAD, DWG, STEP and PDF, with the actual file type and revision to agree.
