Purpose:electronic equipment, medical equipment, track equipment
A chassis housing inquiry can involve the cast component, its CNC work and the tooling scope behind it. This service addresses chassis shells for electronic, medical and track-equipment projects, with aluminum-alloy choices and custom surface treatments considered for the actual equipment component.
Keep alloy choices attached to one housing
ADC12, A380 and A383 identify the aluminum alternatives, with magnesium and zinc alloys also included in the material scope. Choose the required alloy for the individual chassis rather than combining all alternatives into one housing description. The material decision should follow the accepted equipment drawing and the manufacturing route proposed for that component.
Define the supplied item: housing or mould
Clarify whether the inquiry covers a finished chassis shell, casting-mould work or both. The equipment scope includes die casting and a CNC machining center, but the supplied item still needs a clear definition. Separate the required housing geometry from any tooling deliverable so the project can be evaluated against the intended component and agreed machining work.
Make exterior and machined surfaces explicit
For the chassis exterior, mirror polishing, painting, powder coating, electroplating and anodizing are available treatments to discuss. Confirm the chosen finish for the selected alloy and identify the surfaces whose accepted condition matters to the equipment design. Agree the application of GB5237.1-2008 High Precision Grade to the actual drawing, with the dimensions and acceptance criteria defined for the housing.
- Provide the housing definition in PDF, DWG, IGS or STP format.
- Distinguish the casting, CNC operations and any mould-work deliverable.
- Record the required alloy, surface condition and equipment acceptance criteria.
Medical and track-equipment projects require their own component suitability decisions. Any required ISO9001:2015, CE or RoHS documentation should correspond to the relevant project scope.
