Define a custom lock-core component around its drawing, material and finished dimensions. Lost wax casting and CNC machining are the manufacturing direction, with 316 stainless steel as the identified grade enquiry. Broader stainless-steel/carbon-steel requests need the actual material selected for the chosen component.
Allocate the lock-core dimensions
Size and dimensions follow the customer's drawing. The tolerance reference is 0.2mm, with the controlled dimensions and acceptance convention to agree for the actual part. Identify which dimensions are accepted after casting and which require the finished CNC-machined condition.
Define the required surface condition
Good appearance and absence of burrs and sand holes are surface objectives for the lock-core parts. Agree the appearance criteria that will be used for the selected geometry and material. Keep those criteria with the dimensional requirements so the proposed manufacturing work addresses both the fit and surface condition of the same component.
Choose the component inspection criteria
100% inspection is offered for these lock-core casting parts. Define the checked characteristics and acceptance required for the actual component drawing. Any complete-lock security, assembly or performance requirements should be assessed separately from the acceptance of the cast and machined part.
Prepare the lock-core enquiry
ISO9001 is a certification reference with applicable scope to confirm for the project. Provide the lock-core drawing, selected grade, finished dimensions and required surface acceptance. Add the inspection criteria and relevant assembly interfaces to define the actual casting and CNC request for that component.
