Precision industrial metal component enquiries use investment casting with further manufacturing directions selected for the actual part. Sand casting, machining, welding and forging are available technology directions. Define the material and component drawing, then agree the operations and accepted finished result for the industrial application.
Material and manufacturing scope
Stainless steel, steel, brass, copper, aluminum and iron are material directions. Plastic requests need their own component and manufacturing scope. Service stages cover moulds, casting, deburring, machining and surface treatment. Select the actual grade and identify which processes the requested component needs, with its working conditions and accepted geometry defined on the drawing.
Separate cast and machined acceptance
The two precision references belong to different manufacturing stages. Agree their applicable dimensions and acceptance for the part.
- Cast dimensions
- CT4-CT8 is the casting tolerance reference. Identify the relevant geometry and selected class.
- Machined features
- +/-0.02mm is the machining tolerance reference. Broaching, drilling, milling, turning and tapping are listed directions; confirm the method intended by the additional Wire processing direction.
Finish and applicable standard documents
Polishing, passivating, sandblasting, zinc plating and oxide black are available finish directions, selected for the actual material and surface requirements. ISO, GB, DIN, JIS, ANSI, BSW, ASTM, ASME, BS, API and EN are standard-system references requiring the chosen document and grade. Quality-document references include IS09001: 2015 and TUV, with their intended designation and actual scope to confirm. Agree these details with the drawing, operations and dimensional and surface criteria for the component.
