Custom machinery-part inquiries combine a carbon- or stainless-steel lost-wax investment-casting direction with CNC and micro-machining services. The machining scope includes broaching, drilling, laser machining, milling and other machining services. Define the component and the selected work before agreeing its manufacturing route.
Cast machinery part or a machining job
Identify whether the inquiry concerns the cast component, its subsequent machining or a separate machining request. Select the actual carbon- or stainless-steel requirement for the machinery casting, with its geometry and function defined together. This establishes where the casting direction sits within the overall component work.
Machining methods for the required geometry
Broaching, drilling, laser machining and milling provide distinct operation directions to discuss for the chosen part. Identify the areas each selected operation needs to address. CNC and micro machining should be connected to the actual geometry, interface dimensions and tolerances required by that component.
Seven machining material groups
Machining capabilities cover brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals, aluminum, precious metals and stainless steel. Specify the grade within the relevant group and define the operations required for it. The material discussion should address the selected machining job or component work and its acceptance requirements.
Micro-machined dimensions and machinery use
Describe the machinery function and operating conditions when defining the dimensions that matter. Agree the required micro-machined geometry, tolerances and mating interfaces against the part's drawing. Those requirements connect the actual manufacturing scope to the component being considered and provide a basis for agreeing its dimensional acceptance.
