OEM stainless steel components for mechanical assemblies combine lost wax investment casting with CNC precision machining. The service covers machinery and industrial parts, with CT4–CT6 casting scope and sand blasting or polishing for selected surfaces. Define the component around the material and mating dimensions required by the assembly.
Choose the grade for the mating component
Stainless options include 304, 316, 310 and 1.4301. Identify the selected designation and the component duty in the assembly drawing. For carbon-steel enquiries, specify the carbon grade independently. The chosen material and mating geometry should be consistent before the casting and CNC interfaces are reviewed.
Distinguish the cast shape from CNC interfaces
Agree CT4–CT6 acceptance for the relevant cast dimensions, then identify the interfaces requiring CNC finishing. Give those finished dimensions their own datums and acceptance criteria. Relate the dimensional plan to the mating assembly so that the cast form and final interfaces describe the same component condition.
Review surface treatment against assembly fit
Select sand blasting or polishing for the required faces of the assembly component. Include the intended appearance and any dimensional criteria that apply after treatment. Review those requirements with the CNC interfaces and mating parts before approving the finished surface for the selected material.
Define the component's inspection and documentation
Inspection for mechanical-assembly castings is 100%, with the methods and criteria agreed for the selected component. Specify the checked dimensions, surface requirements and records needed for acceptance. If ISO9001:2015 documentation is part of the project, verify the current certificate and applicable scope with the drawing and inspection requirements.
