Small precision-part requests can use Zamak 3 or Zamak 5 zinc alloy through a hot-chamber die-casting direction. OEM/ODM work includes mold, casting and CNC-machining scope, with 100% inspection offered for the custom parts.
Choose the Zamak grade before defining tooling
Select Zamak 3 or Zamak 5 for the actual component and provide its finished geometry. Identify the interfaces that locate the part in its intended assembly. This links the mold and casting discussion to one defined zinc-alloy part rather than leaving the grade and shape as separate requests.
Relate CNC work to the cast component
Mark the areas that require finished machining and show how their dimensions relate to the surrounding casting. Define which characteristics can be accepted in the cast condition and which need a CNC operation. The important dimensions and acceptance limits should follow the small component's actual assembly role.
- Cast condition
- Identify the areas accepted after the casting work.
- Machined condition
- Define the interfaces and dimensions requiring CNC work.
Agree the mold and supply scope
Connect the required mold work with the component definition and identify what is included in the manufacturing request. The wider material-service menu also includes aluminum, brass, zinc and steel. Agree an appropriate route for each different material request while keeping the hot-chamber direction attached to the selected zinc part.
Make full inspection follow the part requirements
One hundred percent inspection is offered for the custom work. Agree the dimensional and material characteristics that determine acceptance and the method used to check them. Keep those criteria with the selected grade, geometry and casting/CNC allocation before the OEM/ODM request is finalized.
