Service TypeOEM/ODM Custom Manufacturing / Prototyping
Custom aluminum die casting supports thin-wall, complex components with a focus on the required surface finish. High-pressure and precision die-casting directions combine with mold work, OEM/ODM customization and prototyping. A ±0.05mm tolerance reference and custom tolerances support the dimensional definition of the actual part.
Define the thin-wall geometry through 3D inputs
For the thin-wall part definition, use STP, STEP, IGS, PRT or X_T 3D inputs. Identify the actual aluminum grade, wall geometry and complex features that matter to the request. Agree the size and controlled dimensions for the selected mold and casting scope, keeping the tolerance requirements associated with their applicable features and manufacturing stage.
Select the material and finished surface
Mill finish, anodizing and powder coating are finish directions for the custom work. Select the applicable treatment and areas for the actual material and finished condition. Zinc, magnesium and stainless-steel directions are also available within the wider service, with a suitable material and process to be agreed for each component. Relate the surface requirement to the drawing-controlled dimensions and intended use.
Set inspection for the selected complex component
Thin-wall casting quality work combines 100% inspection with CMM, projector, caliper and salt-spray testing. Agree the measurements and surface-test criteria required for the actual part. Automotive, electronics, industrial machinery and medical-device component requests should define their own use-specific inspection and qualification acceptance. Keep those requirements connected to the chosen material, wall geometry, mold/prototype scope and final surface condition.
