OEM/ODM lost-wax investment-cast components include stainless-steel and bronze directions, with carbon steel and alloy steel also available. CNC lathe and milling-center work provides the machining scope. Industrial machinery, automotive and electrical component requests can be defined around the selected grade, casting geometry and required machined condition.

Separate cast dimensions from machined dimensions

CT4–CT9 is the casting-tolerance reference, while ±0.005mm and ISO2768-mk are associated with machining. Identify which dimensions remain cast and which are controlled through CNC work. Agree the actual dimensional requirements for the selected component, keeping the two stages distinct when reviewing its drawing and inspection acceptance.

Select a treatment condition for the metal

Heat-treatment choices are annealing, quenching and tempering, and solid solution. Surface directions include zinc plating, painting, powder coating and electropolishing. Choose the treatment combination for the actual material and intended use, and identify the areas to which it applies. The finished condition should remain connected to the dimensions and surfaces that need acceptance.

Plan the quality work around the component

PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan and MSA form the available quality-control scope. Agree how these activities apply to the selected lost-wax part and its CNC operations. For an industrial, automotive or electrical request, define the required part-specific checks and review outputs alongside the casting, machining and treatment requirements, so that the quality work addresses the component being supplied.
