Small metal investment-casting parts are available for OEM/ODM customization, with tolerances governed by customer drawing requirements. The manufacturing scope can combine casting, machining when needed and selected surface treatment. Reference standard families include GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS, with the actual material designation and applicable requirements to define for the component.
Metal choice and the drawing-controlled dimensions
The actual alloy and geometry establish the small part being requested. Identify its intended function, important interfaces and the dimensions governed by the customer drawing. Select the applicable requirements within the named standard families and agree the measurement basis for those controlled areas. This connects the casting definition to the finished fit and material acceptance needed for its use.
Where optional machining enters the work
Machining is included when the component needs it. Define the areas requiring that work and the finished condition expected after the chosen operations. Relate those interfaces to the casting dimensions and the subsequent surface-treatment requirements. An agreed machining scope identifies which areas are supplied cast and which need further work for their intended function.
Blasting, polishing, powder, zinc or chrome
Surface-treatment choices are blasting, polishing, powder coating, zinc plating and chrome plating. Select the direction appropriate to the actual metal and required appearance. Define the treated areas and the dimensional and visual acceptance after treatment. Include those surface requirements with the selected alloy, drawing tolerance and optional machining, keeping the OEM/ODM component request tied to its actual supplied condition.
