OEM and ODM custom metal parts use investment and lost wax casting with heat treatment and machining if needed. Surface treatment completes the selected manufacturing scope. Define the actual metal grade and part drawing before choosing the required operations and accepted finished condition.
Large-part geometry and selected precision
The size direction includes large parts up to the 120cm reference and larger parts, with the actual measured dimension and geometry to agree. Key-size tolerance can reach 0.01-0.02mm. Identify which dimensions are key and the manufacturing stage to which that reference applies. Agree the required treatment and machining scope for those details rather than assigning one tolerance to the whole part.
Production checks and key dimensions
Quality control combines checks during production with a separate requirement for key sizes. Define the inspection criteria for the actual component and its working details.

- 100% quality control applies to key sizes. Identify those dimensions and their acceptance criteria on the current drawing.
Finish, color and drawing package
Painting, powder coating and requested finishes are available directions. Define the selected treatment and color by the drawing or sample, with the required coverage and appearance. Accepted drawing directions are 2D PDF/CAD and 3D IGES/STEP. Confirm the material, geometry, treatment, machining and surface requirements together for the precision casting enquiry.
