OEM and ODM custom metal investment casting combines casting with machining if needed and selected surface treatment. Tolerance follows the customer's drawing request. Choose the actual metal grade and component geometry before defining the manufacturing and finished-condition requirements.

Metal grade and applicable specification

GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS are standard-family references. Identify the actual specification and grade required for the part. Provide its intended duty and drawing so the material and manufacturing review concerns a defined component.

Drawing tolerance and optional machining

The requested drawing establishes dimensional acceptance. Identify any areas that require machining and the finished result for those operations. Agree the casting requirements and any later machined dimensions within the selected process scope. This gives the OEM/ODM enquiry a clear dimensional basis.

Five surface-treatment directions

Surface choices include blasting, polishing, powder coating, zinc plating and chrome plating. Select the actual treatment for the chosen material and identify the surfaces it covers. Specify the required finished condition and how that surface result will be accepted.

Quality documents for the request

ISO9001:2008 and TS 16949 are certification references. Confirm the applicable documents and their object scope for the component enquiry. Combine them with the grade, specification, drawing tolerance and selected finish, together with the dimensional, surface and inspection criteria for the finished part.
