Custom 316L stainless steel decorative investment casting uses a silica sol route with OEM/ODM service and CNC lathe and milling work. Industrial machinery, automotive and electrical component enquiries are also supported contexts. Define the component geometry, selected material and required finished condition before assigning the casting and machining requirements.
Assign the casting and machined dimensions separately
CT4–CT9 is the casting-tolerance range. The machining references include ±0.005 mm and ISO2768-mk; identify the drawing dimensions and acceptance scope governed by each requirement. CNC lathe and CNC milling-center work can be discussed against the particular controlled surfaces, keeping casting-class acceptance separate from machined dimensional requirements.
Match the heat treatment to the selected grade
Stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel are the material choices, with 316L as the primary decorative-casting enquiry. Heat-treatment options include annealing, quenching and tempering, and solution treatment. Agree a suitable treatment and final condition for the actual grade so that the requested thermal route belongs to the component being manufactured.
Specify the decorative and finished surface condition
Zinc plating, painting, powder coating and electropolishing are surface-treatment choices. Identify the required surfaces and select a finish compatible with the material and component requirements. Include the appearance and controlled dimensional conditions in that review so the chosen surface process has a defined role in the finished part.
Agree the quality-planning deliverables for the project
Quality planning includes PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, a control plan and MSA. Define which project-specific deliverables and acceptance records are required when reviewing the custom component. ISO9001 certification supports qualification review, with the current scope confirmed for the order and the planning requirements agreed for that particular design.
