Start an OEM stainless steel investment casting enquiry with the part defined by its required size, shape and material. The custom foundry service follows customer drawings and provides a wider range of metalworking, treatment, sample and color requests.

Which stainless steel grade does the component require?

Identify the actual grade for the casting instead of leaving the material as a broad stainless steel family. The wider service also covers aluminum alloy, brass, copper, titanium and iron enquiries. Keep the selected metal attached to the component drawing so the proposed work addresses one defined material and shape.

Where does precision need to be measured?

The stated tolerance is +/-1um, making its feature and measurement scope important to agree. Mark the dimensions that need this control and define acceptance for the finished component. CNC lathe work, stamping, hobbing and forging are available operation directions, with the actual manufacturing route selected for the required part.

How should treatment, color and samples be specified?

Heat treatment, polishing, plating, machining and anodizing are treatment choices that need to suit the selected material and finished requirements. Color requests include black, silver, gold, blue, red, white and yellow, and sample orders are accepted. Discuss the required sample condition and desired color together with the agreed surface route, so appearance and technical acceptance describe the same component.

Application directions include robotics, aerospace, automotive and industrial machinery. Define the actual service requirements and any required component qualification for the intended use, rather than assume that an application name selects the material or acceptance criteria.
