OEM aluminum automotive-part enquiries include die casting with deburring, rapid prototyping and machining. Mold and aluminum extrusion or molding are additional request directions. Define the actual part or mold and agree its manufacturing scope.
Automotive component and aluminum grade
Identify the aluminum grade and the component drawing for the enquiry. Describe the working conditions and the geometry required for that automotive part. The drawing should establish the dimensions and surfaces used to accept the requested result.
Die casting or another selected scope
Agree the die-casting, machining or prototype requirements for the actual object. A mold or extrusion/molding request needs its own defined component and manufacturing operations. State which of those directions the enquiry concerns so that the accepted geometry is clear.
Deburred and finished geometry
Deburring is the finishing direction for the die-casting request. Define the areas and accepted surface condition for the component. Bring the drawing, material, selected operations and dimensional and inspection criteria together when discussing the OEM part.
