Supplier TypeOEM/ODM Custom Manufacturing Factory with Design Support
316 stainless steel marine hardware and boat fittings are available through custom silica-sol lost-wax investment casting with medium-temperature wax. OEM/ODM design support and DFM review help define the fitting before casting, CNC work and final surface requirements are agreed.
Set precision against the boat-fitting geometry
The precision range is CT5–CT12, with ±0.05–0.5mm depending on size. Identify the critical mating dimensions on the fitting drawing and agree which acceptance applies to each area. As-cast roughness is Ra1.6–3.2; confirm the measurement unit and locations when setting the final surface requirement.
Coordinate the casting with CNC and assembly
In-house CNC machining, polishing and assembly extend the custom manufacturing scope beyond the casting. Mark the surfaces and interfaces needing those operations. Electropolishing is also available, allowing the required finished appearance to be considered with the fitting geometry and assembly needs.
Select alloy-compatible treatment and inspection
Heat-treatment choices include quenching and tempering, normalizing and annealing; select a route compatible with the actual alloy and component. CMM inspection, a material spectral report and PT/MT/NDT are available. Agree the appropriate inspection method and acceptance for the selected material rather than applying every method to every fitting.
Connect marine duty with the project records
Define the marine exposure, mating arrangement and any load requirements for the boat hardware. ISO9001 quality-management scope, COC material traceability and PPAP support provide documentation topics for the enquiry. Pump impellers, valve bodies and food or medical parts are also within the application scope, with their own use-specific requirements and approval needs to establish.
