ToleranceCustomer's Drawing Request
EN-GJL-200 grey-iron enquiries concern engine cylinder-head components made through a sand-casting direction. Broader auto-machinery requests can also involve ductile iron or grey iron according to the actual part requirements. Select the material grade for the component rather than transferring a grey-iron designation to a ductile-iron request.
Define the engine component drawing
OEM/ODM work uses customized sizes and tolerances based on the customer's drawing. Identify the required component geometry and the dimensions that control its acceptance. Keep those requirements with the chosen iron grade so the sand-casting enquiry describes the actual part.
Agree the casting condition and fit
Define the dimensions and condition required when the cast component is inspected. Include the relevant assembly interfaces and intended component duty in the enquiry. This gives the proposed casting a specific acceptance basis while leaving complete-engine requirements to the actual assembly assessment.
Make full inspection component-specific
100% inspection is offered with an ISO9001 system/reference. Agree the checked characteristics, records and acceptance for the selected cylinder-head or auto-machinery component. Use the same drawing and grade requirements to connect those checks to the actual casting being requested.
Set the OEM/ODM project scope
Confirm the applicable scope of the ISO9001 reference for the project. Provide the actual component drawing, chosen iron grade, dimensional criteria and inspection requirements together. Add the relevant duty and assembly requirements so the proposed sand-casting work addresses the intended component and its acceptance.
