Custom steel investment casting includes SS304 and SS316 material directions, with machining and polishing. The casting-tolerance reference is CT4–CT9. Polishing, plating and powder coating follow customer requirements, while the steel-component quality scope includes 100% inspection for the selected manufacturing and supplied-condition requirements.
Selected SS304 or SS316 component
Identify the actual material designation and the part geometry needed for the request. Define the important interfaces and supplied condition for the selected component. Relate those requirements to its investment-casting task, agreeing the material and dimensional acceptance required for the actual part being made.
CT4–CT9 for the controlled cast dimensions
Assign the selected casting grade to the dimensions governed by that requirement. Identify any areas needing further machining and establish their finished dimensions. Agree the measurement criteria for those areas, connecting the cast and machined geometry to the component's intended interfaces and supplied-part acceptance.
Polishing, plating or powder-coating areas
Select the requested surface work for the actual steel and component geometry. Define which areas require polishing, plating or powder coating and the finished condition needed there. Relate the chosen treatment to the important dimensions and appearance requirements, agreeing the supplied-surface acceptance after the included manufacturing work.
Full checks and finished steel-part requirements
Define the actual inspection methods and criteria for the requested component's 100% inspection scope. Connect those checks to the selected grade, controlled casting dimensions, machined areas and treated surfaces. Agree the finished-part acceptance for the actual customer requirements, establishing the component condition included in the custom steel-casting task.
