Customized small-part precision investment/lost-wax casting requests include aluminum alloys, stainless steel and carbon steel, with ADC12 and A380 material references. Dimensions are customized and inspection is stated as 100%. The numerical references are ±0.02mm tolerance and Ra3.2–Ra6.3 roughness, with actual scope to define.

Small-part drawing and the supplied alloy

Select the actual supplied material specification for the component. Define its geometry, controlled dimensions and mating arrangement, with the casting work allocated to that material. Establish the working duty and final condition that the chosen small part must satisfy.

Signed tolerance and a roughness unit to confirm

Identify the feature and process conditions intended by ±0.02mm. Define the Ra3.2–Ra6.3 unit and measurement basis before setting surface acceptance. Relate both references to the actual drawing locations and establish how dimensional and surface results will be assessed.

Polished, chrome-plated, electrophoretic, painted or powder-coated

Polishing, chrome plating, electrophoresis, painting and powder coat are finish directions. Select the applicable treatment and covered areas for the supplied material and component geometry. Define the final appearance or condition and connect it to the agreed surface and dimensional requirements.

Full inspection for the chosen application and condition

Industrial, commercial, household and automotive parts are application directions, with actual duty and any required approval criteria to agree. Define the characteristics covered by 100% inspection of the selected part and finish. Agree measurement methods and records with quantity and manufacturing responsibility against that drawing acceptance.
