Define a sand-cast metal part through its material, 3D geometry and finished requirements. Copper, grey iron, stainless steel and aluminum are enquiry directions, with an A356 reference and customized OEM support for the actual component.
Give the sand casting a selected grade and shape
Identify the material grade and the controlling 3D drawing for the part. Agree the required dimensions and drawing tolerance, together with the client specification that should govern acceptance. Keep the A356 or other material direction connected to the actual grade and geometry selected for the request.
Allocate deburring, drilling and threading
Casting, deburring, drilling and threading are process choices for the service. Mark the areas requiring each operation and the finished dimensions they need to meet. Define the cast shape and secondary work together so the manufacturing enquiry describes the component required by the drawing.
- Identify the material and sand-cast geometry.
- Mark drilled or threaded areas and the required deburring.
- Set the dimensional acceptance for the finished part.
- Specify the requested surface condition and color.
Connect appearance and inspection with the order
Surface treatment and color are customized for the component, with 100% inspection offered for the casting service. Agree the dimensions and finished surfaces to be checked and any records needed for acceptance. Establish the relevant ISO9001 certificate scope alongside the material, geometry and processing requirements for the OEM order.
