Custom investment casting enquiries cover stainless steel components and brass material requirements, with sizes defined by drawings or samples. The stainless route includes SS304 and SS316, machining and polishing. Select the actual metal and component geometry before applying the relevant casting tolerance, finish and inspection requirements.

Keep the stainless tolerance tied to the stainless component

CT4–CT9 is the casting-tolerance range for the stainless steel casting service. Identify the SS304 or SS316 component and the dimensions governed by that range. For a brass enquiry, define the exact grade and confirm its casting route and tolerance requirements separately so that the acceptance basis matches the selected material.

Define the machined and finished condition from the sample or drawing

The service combines investment casting, machining and polishing. Additional surface choices include plating and powder coating to customer requirements. Mark the surfaces requiring each condition and identify the dimensions that need control after machining or finishing. A sample-based enquiry should establish which geometry and surface qualities the new casting must reproduce.

Agree the inspection plan for the selected metal part

The stainless casting components undergo 100% inspection. Agree the inspection method and acceptance limits for the controlled dimensions and selected finish, rather than assuming that a casting class defines every finished surface. Keep the material, process and finish requirements together in the order review so that the inspected component is the particular part defined by the drawing or sample.
