Custom OEM metal-casting requests cover sand, die and lost wax route directions with CNC machining and precision turning. Heat treatment, machining if needed and surface treatment form the work scope. Random production checks and 100% QC of key dimensions are distinct inspection directions for the component.
Casting route and heat condition
Choose the actual metal and grade for the drawing before allocating the sand, die or lost wax route. Define the required heat-treated condition and where CNC machining or precision turning is needed. The component geometry, working requirements and selected material should guide that allocation and the acceptance of the finished part.
Painting or powder coating
Painting and powder coating are stated surface choices, alongside a finish to your requirements. Identify the treated areas and the final surface condition for the selected component. Agree how the required finish relates to the machined dimensions and the final acceptance criteria for those locations.
Key dimensions and production checks
The 100% QC direction applies to key sizes. Identify those dimensions and their limits on the drawing, then agree the inspection methods and records for that full key-dimension scope. Random checks during production need their own coverage and criteria, keeping their role clear throughout the manufacturing discussion.
Drawings for the OEM request
Drawing directions include 2D PDF/CAD and 3D IGES/STEP. Use the actual drawing to connect material, casting route, heat condition, machining and finish to the same component. Confirm the project quantity and OEM work allocation together with the agreed dimensional and surface acceptance requirements.
