Custom OEM/ODM metal casting requests include stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum with lost-wax investment-casting and shell-mold directions. Work can include machining if needed, surface treatment and color to customer requirements.
Investment or shell-mold work for the selected metal
Define the supplied material specification and component geometry before allocating the casting route. Identify controlled dimensions and any areas requiring machining, with acceptance requirements connected to the actual part duty and interfaces.
Drawing exchange for casting and optional machining
2D/3D, CAD, DWG, STEP, PDF and IGS are drawing directions for the request. Agree the drawing revision and geometry used for the work, then identify which dimensions apply to the cast condition and any subsequent machining. Define the required measurement and finished-part acceptance.
Customer color and the final surface method
Specify the required color and affected areas for the component. Select the actual surface method and finished condition for the chosen material, with the relevant surface and functional criteria agreed for acceptance. Mark areas where color requirements meet a dimension controlled by the accepted drawing.
Die-machine reference and OEM/ODM work allocation
A die-casting machine is an equipment reference whose actual role, location and work allocation need agreement for the request. Define the manufacturing operations and inspection records for the selected casting configuration. Complete the OEM/ODM arrangement with quantity and manufacturing/acceptance responsibilities against the supplied material, drawing, route, machining and color requirements.
