Custom OEM carbon-steel investment castings have a 0.01–0.05 mm tolerance reference and IQC as the quality-control direction. The actual grade, component geometry and intended function should establish the requested part. Agree the dimensional and material acceptance for that specific manufacturing task and its supplied condition.

Carbon-steel grade and component function

Identify the actual material designation required for the component and the finished component geometry needed for its actual use. Connect the important dimensions and interfaces to the intended function and operating conditions. Those details define the custom OEM casting and the material/finished-part requirements the inquiry needs to address for the actual task.

0.01–0.05 mm and its measurement basis

Define the dimensions governed by the tolerance reference and agree the manufacturing stage to which it applies. Identify the measurement method and acceptance criteria needed for those controlled areas. Relate that dimensional scope to the component geometry, so the tolerance discussion concerns the actual part and its required finished fit.

IQC checks and the supplied-component scope

IQC is the quality-control reference for the request, with the actual checks and acceptance to agree. Connect the material requirements, component dimensions and inspection criteria to the selected casting. Include its intended function and operating duty with those quality requirements, establishing what needs to be checked for the actual material and supplied part within the OEM inquiry.
