Keywordvacuum casting service
Low-volume prototype work gives a custom component a defined material, shape and color for evaluation. This silicone-molding and urethane vacuum-casting offering includes flexible rubber-type prototype inquiries, a one-piece minimum and surface choices that can be selected for the development part.
Review one component before defining the batch
A single-piece minimum allows an initial prototype inquiry to begin with one component. Define what that part needs to demonstrate and which dimensions determine acceptance before considering the wider low-volume requirement. The same geometry and material brief should remain the reference when the prototype is reviewed for the intended project.
Match the flexible resin to the process
Specify the actual urethane or other material required for the flexible prototype, along with the behavior being evaluated. Requests involving ABS, POM, PMMA, PP, PC, PE, PA, PPS, PVC or metal materials need their own material-and-route agreement. This keeps the flexible vacuum-casting discussion specific to the chosen component while allowing the wider custom-part requirement to be assessed appropriately.
Choose color together with surface work
Color can be customized, and treatment choices include polishing, painting, silk printing, UV coating and electroplating. Agree the treatment for the selected material and identify the desired final appearance. A UV-coating choice should describe the requested surface work, with any separate performance requirement established for the project rather than assumed from the treatment name.
Carry the digital geometry into acceptance
CAD, IGS, STP, STL and X-T files provide the digital component reference. The stated tolerance is ±0.1mm, with the relevant dimensions and finishing condition agreed for the prototype. Projects may involve cars, household appliances, furniture, commodities or electronics; the accepted geometry, color and material behavior should follow that individual application brief.
