Custom investment cast steel parts serve heavy duty equipment component enquiries through lost wax casting and optional machining. Material, cast geometry and finished working dimensions are agreed for the required part. The casting and machining references describe different manufacturing stages and should be applied to the relevant features on the drawing.

Choose the steel designation for the component

Material directions include ZG35, ZG45, WCB, WCA and WCC, with other requested materials considered through the custom casting service. ISO 340-550 is also a stated material reference; agree the intended designation and applicable document before making a grade selection. Define the component's service conditions and material acceptance requirements without assuming that the listed designations are interchangeable.

Cast tolerance and finished machining

Separate cast dimensions from dimensions finished by machining. CNC machining, lathing, milling, turning, boring and drilling are available directions, selected for the actual features of the equipment part.

Cast steel geometry
CT4-8 is the casting tolerance reference; agree its applicable dimensions.
Machined dimensions and surface
Up to IT7 and Ra 0.8~3.2 are machining references according to the customer requirement. Confirm machining allowance, selected dimensions and the unit and acceptance basis for Ra.

Passivation or polished surface acceptance

Surface passivation and polishing are offered according to the requested result. Select the treatment for the agreed steel and identify the faces to receive that finish. A drawing with mating details and acceptance criteria helps connect the lost wax form to the subsequent working operations. Confirm that manufacturing scope and the required material documentation when defining the custom component.
