Custom door lock accessories can be produced in stainless steel or carbon steel through lost wax casting, CNC machining and surface treatment. Customer drawings define the part shape and dimensions, with OEM or ODM scope agreed for the accessory and the lock assembly it must fit.
Locate the accessory within the lock assembly
Identify the casting's role in the mechanism and the mating dimensions that determine how it fits the surrounding parts. Mark the interfaces requiring CNC machining and define their acceptance limits on the drawing. This connects the requested precision shape to the actual assembly geometry that the finished accessory must meet.
Choose the requested material and finish together
Select the stainless or carbon steel grade for the application and describe the required surface condition. Anodized treatment, powder coating, polishing and sandblasting requests need a confirmed material/process combination for the component. Indicate which areas receive treatment, including any appearance or mating-surface requirements that should be checked after finishing.
Check the cast and CNC-finished geometry
The door lock accessory has a 100% inspection commitment, with dimensional, material and surface checkpoints to be established for the order. Set the methods and records needed to evaluate those characteristics against the approved drawing. Include any functional acceptance required by the lock design so the supplied part can be reviewed for its intended role.
Define documentation and application acceptance
ISO9001 or TS16949 documentation should be reviewed for current certificate holder, validity and activity scope when required by the order. RoHS evidence should correspond to the actual material or supplied accessory. Agree those documentation requirements alongside the component's fit, finish and application criteria, allowing the manufacturing proposal to describe the part and verification work to be approved.
