OEM precision steel auto-casting requests combine lost wax investment casting with CNC machining. Quenching and tempering, shot blasting and assembly are also manufacturing directions. Define the actual automotive component and steel grade so that the chosen operations address its drawing and working requirements.
Heat treatment and machined geometry
The quench-and-temper direction refers to two mesh-belt furnaces. Machining equipment directions are 50+ machining centers and 80+ CNC machines, with the actual component allocation to agree. Set the required heat-treated condition, machined dimensions and final assembled state for the part before approving its manufacturing scope.
Visual, gauge and other inspection
The inspection directions include 100% visual inspection and 100% gauge inspection for these steel auto-casting requests. MT, UT, RT and CMM are also identified methods. Allocate each method to the actual characteristics and agree measurement criteria and records; the stated percentages belong to visual and gauge inspection and require that scope to remain clear.
Automotive drawing and acceptance
ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF and AS are standard-family directions for the project discussion. Select the actual document, edition and steel grade, then connect them to the component drawing and its working duty. Specify the desired shot-blasted condition and assembly scope together with the dimensional and inspection acceptance criteria.
OEM manufacturing request
Bring the casting, heat treatment, CNC work and assembly requirements into one defined component request. Agree the quantity and the inspection documentation needed to evaluate the finished part. This keeps the automotive application tied to an actual drawing and acceptance plan throughout the manufacturing discussion.
