Custom stainless steel and iron/steel part enquiries can combine a selected casting route with CNC finishing and electroplating. Lost wax investment, precision casting and sand casting are process directions. Define the actual material grade and route for the component before setting the finished-part requirements.
Use the 3D drawing to define the part
Size follows the customer's 3D drawing. Identify the component geometry and the dimensions that require acceptance, then agree how the chosen casting process and CNC finishing will address them. Keep the material grade and actual route with that drawing so the enquiry describes a specific part.
Coordinate CNC finishing and electroplating
CNC finishing is a work direction for the cast component. Select the dimensions and surfaces that need that finishing work, and define the electroplated condition required for the actual material. Bring the dimensional and surface criteria together when agreeing the completed part's acceptance.
Define professional inspection requirements
Professional inspection is offered for the custom casting work. Agree the characteristics to be checked and the records needed to demonstrate the required dimensional and surface condition. Those checks should address the same component drawing and finishing requirements used to define the manufacturing scope.
Prepare the OEM/ODM enquiry
ISO9001 and TS16949 are certification references whose applicable scope should be confirmed for the project. Supply the 3D drawing, selected grade, casting route and CNC finishing requirements together. Include electroplating criteria and inspection acceptance so the proposed work has a clear component-specific scope from casting through finishing.
