Our ServiceSupply precision lost wax steel castings
OEM stainless steel castings combine investment and lost wax casting with precision machining for the finished component. Material choices include 304, 316 and 316L to customer requirements. The stainless bearing-holder scope brings the casting geometry, machined bores and surface condition into the same component enquiry.
Set the grade and bearing-holder geometry
Specify the chosen stainless grade on the component drawing and identify the dimensions that determine bearing and assembly fit. Mark the required bores, mounting or mating interfaces and the machining datums used to control them. These drawing inputs connect material selection with the actual holder geometry, rather than relying on the grade name to define a finished fit.
Distinguish CT4–8 from machined-feature acceptance
CT4–8 applies to the stainless steel bearing-holder casting scope. Machining capability is up to IT7 according to customer requirements, with CNC machining, lathe work, milling, turning, boring and drilling available. Assign casting and machining acceptance separately to the relevant drawing dimensions. The required finished bore or interface should have its own dimensional criterion and inspection reference.
Define the Ra value on the relevant surfaces
Surface-roughness values cover Ra 0.8–3.2. Agree the unit, evaluation method and surfaces associated with the selected value before making it a finish requirement. Coordinate that surface acceptance with the machining operation and the chosen stainless grade so that dimensional and finish checks refer to the same finished condition.
Choose passivation or polishing for the component
Passivation and polishing are surface treatments available to customer request. Identify the treatment, affected surfaces and acceptance needed for the bearing holder or other stainless casting. Review the finished dimensions and surface condition together when approving the OEM component, keeping the selected grade, drawing revision and machining requirements consistent.
