Custom steel machinery parts for train applications use silica-sol lost wax investment casting with CNC machining. Define the actual grade and component drawing before selecting the treatment and finished working dimensions. The required service conditions and accepted result should govern the manufacturing and inspection scope for the part.

Steel specification for the train component

ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF and AS are standard-system references. Select the actual document and steel grade for the component and identify the dimensions that matter for its use. The train application needs its own drawing, working conditions and acceptance criteria. Agree those requirements with the required casting and CNC operations.

Heat treatment and subsequent work

Quenching and tempering are offered through two mesh-belt furnaces. Shot blasting and assembly are additional process directions, with resources including 50+ machining centers and 80+ CNC machines. Define the selected treatment specification and machined working details. Agree the required surface condition and assembly scope for the actual component geometry.

Inspection methods and quality records

The inspection directions need to be selected for the actual part. Define their coverage and acceptance criteria together with the drawing and material requirements.

Inspection menu
MT, UT, RT and CMM are stated directions, alongside 100% visual inspection and 100% gauge inspection. Keep the percentage references with the visual and gauge checks.
Applicable quality documents
IATF16949 and ISO14001 are service certification references. Confirm the documents and scope relevant to the requested component and its accepted manufacturing result.
