Custom-size 304 and 316 stainless-steel castings combine precision lost-wax investment work with mirror polishing. OEM service and samples are supported, allowing the actual material, geometry and required mirror-finished condition to be agreed for the chosen component.
304 or 316 and the intended working exposure
Oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and durability are qualitative directions for this stainless casting work. Define the actual exposure, working conditions and acceptance requirements for the selected material and surface. These conditions determine what the finished component must meet rather than assuming a universal environment or service lifetime.
Mirror-polished areas and the IT4–6 reference
Select the component size, controlled dimensions and areas requiring mirror polish. IT4–6 is the casting-tolerance reference, with its exact meaning, dimension range, process stage and measurement basis to clarify against the applicable engineering document. Keep that reference tied to the actual controlled geometry and final surface condition.
Inspection and sample agreement for the mirror finish
Define the characteristics, methods and records for 100% inspection of the selected 304 or 316 material, controlled dimensions and mirror-polished surfaces. Identify the actual international engineering standard and edition required for the component. Samples are provided as a service direction; agree their scope and acceptance alongside the finished-part requirements. For sample review, identify the controlled dimensions and polished areas that will govern acceptance of the finished component. Establish actual quantity and OEM manufacturing/inspection responsibilities with the accepted drawing, material, working exposure and mirror condition.
