Turn an industrial machinery component into a casting enquiry with a defined material, geometry and finished condition. This OEM and tailored investment-casting service supports lost-wax parts, with tolerance set according to the drawing.
Choose the material for the machinery component
Aluminum alloy, zinc alloy, stainless steel, iron and other specified alloys are material directions for the service. Identify the actual grade and the duty the component needs to address. Agree the investment-casting scope for that material and shape so the enquiry describes the part required for the machinery.
Connect drawing precision with the selected finish
Dimensions and tolerance should follow the controlling component drawing. Mark the features that require a particular finished condition and define the acceptance they need to meet. Painting, anodizing, powder coating and electrophoresis are finish directions to agree for the selected metal, with the treated surfaces identified for the part.
- Component geometry
- Identify the shape, dimensions and controlling drawing revision for the custom casting.
- Surface acceptance
- Specify the requested finish and the areas or features requiring that condition.
Agree the inspection and order scope
Custom investment castings are offered with 100% inspection, and the minimum order quantity is negotiable. Set the required quantity together with the dimensional and surface criteria to be checked. Identify any inspection records needed for the component. When certification is required, agree the exact scheme and applicable certificate scope for the manufacturing work.
