ToleranceCustomer's Drawing Request
Custom sand casting inquiries can begin with aluminum alloy, including A356, stainless steel, brass or grey iron. Choose the actual alloy and casting route for the component before comparing the manufacturing proposal. This OEM/ODM service follows the client's specification and drawing-defined requirements.
Make the material enquiry specific
The material menu gives several directions for a custom foundry request. Identify the chosen grade, including A356 when that aluminum alloy is required, and agree the route for that particular component. Keep the intended material and process together rather than assuming that every material uses an identical manufacturing arrangement.
Set dimensions and surface acceptance
Part size and tolerances are based on the customer's drawing. Surface finish and color are also customized to the customer's requirements. Define the appearance standard alongside those dimensional and surface requirements so a good finished appearance has a practical acceptance basis.
- Choose the alloy and describe the required cast component.
- Mark the drawing dimensions and their acceptance requirements.
- Specify the finish, color and appearance criteria.
Define what full inspection covers
Strictly 100% inspection is offered for this custom foundry work. Agree which characteristics are inspected and how they relate to the component drawing and appearance requirements. This retains the full-inspection direction while making the actual acceptance useful for the selected part.
Connect the order to its agreed scope
ISO 9001 is a certification reference, with the applicable scope to confirm for the project. Use the alloy selection, client specification and drawing together in the OEM/ODM inquiry. Add the finish, color and inspection criteria to give the proposed casting work a clear manufacturing and acceptance scope.
