Specify a pump spare-part impeller through its alloy, geometry and finished features. The custom service combines investment casting with CNC-center work, micro machining and a selection of machining operations for the actual component.
Choose the impeller material and operating duty
Specify the alloy steel grade required for the impeller. Broader material capabilities include aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, hardened metals, precious metals, stainless steel, steel alloys and carbon steel. Select the actual grade and international material requirement, then connect it to the pump interfaces and duty the part needs to address.
Allocate the machining operations by geometry
Broaching, drilling, laser machining, milling and turning are operation choices for the service. Identify the features needing each method and the finished dimensions they must meet. Micro-machining requirements should define the actual geometry and acceptance needed for those details alongside the other CNC work.
Define the cleaned and smooth finished condition
Cleaning and a smooth surface are finishing directions for the enquiry. Identify the surfaces requiring that condition and establish the acceptance criteria for the part. Agree the casting, machining and finished-surface requirements together so they describe the same impeller geometry.
Use testing and reports for component acceptance
CMM testing and dimension/material testing reports are offered. Define the relevant features, material criteria and records needed for the selected component. Establish any required ISO9001:2008 certificate scope with the order, and agree the actual pump interfaces and finished-part acceptance for the manufacturing request.
