Custom machine-tool bed and machine-base castings are intended for CNC lathes and milling machines. Material scope includes ductile iron, gray iron, iron, stainless steel and alloy steel, with OEM and ODM service for the selected large-base project.
Define the base around the host machine
Provide the mounting geometry, mating interfaces and overall dimensions required by the lathe or milling machine. Confirm the allowable component mass and mechanical duty before accepting the base configuration. Agree the dimensional requirements that matter to the host-machine assembly. CNC describes the machine using this casting; any required finished machining needs to be defined explicitly in the component plan with its own acceptance.
Select the casting route and tooling for the material
The detailed manufacturing scope is lost-foam casting, with wood or metal mould enquiries. Agree the actual tooling approach for the chosen alloy and base geometry, and discuss any lost-wax alternative as a separate selected route. Color can be customized for the project. Define the final surface and appearance requirements alongside any controlled interfaces so that the casting and subsequent requirements follow the same approved design.
Link project acceptance to applicable documentation
Review the relevant scope of ISO9001:2008, ISO/TS16949:2009, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and CCC for the supplied casting or project. Confirm the certificate objects and validity, together with any inspection or finishing requirements needed for the base. Keep the selected material, casting route, geometry and host-machine duty identified in that review. This connects the documentation enquiry to the actual component requirements before the large machine base is accepted.
